The US-95 Design Build Project included the replacement of eight failing bridges along US-95 to create a safer travel way between Cambridge and New Meadows, Idaho.  An aggressive design and construction schedule, requiring completion by the end of November 2017, meant our team of engineers needed to step up to the challenge – and they did. In less than four months, our team completed the design of all eight bridges and met or exceeded every schedule and submittal milestone – which included over 24 submittal packages. By the beginning of November, all eight bridges had been constructed with both lanes open for traffic – nearly a month ahead of schedule! The bridges included innovative designs to expedite construction including deep-pile foundations and precast elements including abutments, spread footings, wingwalls, and decks. This project included the first Ultra-High-Performance Concrete voided slab type bridges in the Nation. This fast-track project was awarded the Top Transportation Project of the Year by the Idaho Business Review.
