Gem County Engineer

Gem County, Idaho

A first-of-its kind facility, Autovol was a unique project from the ground up. The company uses automated, volumetric-modular construction to build homes faster, safer, and more affordably. The Autovol facility needed to have the capacity to construct several modular units each day before shipping them off to construction sites. Keller Associates provided site and roadway design for the project, which included public roadway construction, offsite sewer and water extensions to the facility, stormwater collection and disposal calculations and plans, and landscape and pressure irrigation system design and plans. The completed facility sits on a 50-acre site in Nampa, ID near the Idaho Center and contains more than 400,000 square feet of factory and office space. This unique project won the 2020 Engineering News-Record Mountain States Intermountain Best Projects Award (UT, ID, MT) for the Best Manufacturing Project.
