Gem County Engineer

Gem County, Idaho

Keller Associates provided all civil & site design for the new INL Research & Education Lab which recently completed construction. LEED certification required retention of at least 90% of the storm runoff and onsite treatment removing a minimum of 80% total suspended solids (TSS). Keller designed bio-retention swales and ponds scattered around the site to collect, treat, and infiltrate stormwater. Our design retained 100% of the runoff and was capable of removing 84% TSS and were sized using the Rational Method. LEED awarded the maximum amount of points available for the stormwater component of this project. Stillman Norton was the lead design & project engineer on this project.
