Rapid growth in the City of Nampa taxed the existing water supply and limited capacity of the City’s only storage--an elevated 500,000 gallon tank. Keller Associates completed master planning, operational theory for three wells, siting, permitting, and designing of a new 3,000,000 gallon tank that will serve south Nampa and eliminate the need for more than two wells.

Services provided:

• 3.0 MG prestressed concrete tank with free spanning dome roof, ladder, manway, and overflow basin

• 8,000 feet of 28-inch HDPE pipe including four canal crossings and construction in state right-of-way
• Reservoir circulation pump station with three 1,200 gpm pumps and sodium hypochlorite (chlorine) disinfection system
• Coordination with Nampa Highway District for construction of tank pad and coordination with local land owners and county officials in siting and permitting
• Funding through DEQ State Revolving Loan Program
• Computer modeling included 24-hour model simulations to optimize system controls for winter and summer operations
